Underneath is an insightful and amusing narrative that captures one woman's coming-out journey in a predominantly intolerant community. Seductive Taylor Hayes lives a double life, hiding her true self from her boyfriend and straight-laced best friends. What starts out as an innocent and erotic diversion becomes a precarious adventure when Taylor begins sneaking around, answering mysterious phone calls and having promiscuous sex with women. She seems to see the fun as a flirtatious game until she meets Mya, who tosses her into a fervid tailspin. This beautiful woman is intelligent and compassionate but she also has a boyfriend of five years and a family with strong Baptist roots.
