Time and again, spaceships disappear on the way to Terra 2, and always in the vicinity of the planet Grauentus, which is considered uninhabited. This is not so true, as the spectator soon finds out, because there is an alien stranded with a waterhead, who likes to shoot down spaceships with his "eliminator" and feed the separately beamed crew to the exclusively zombie population of the planet.
