A student Masha is studying in a foreign city and has no money to rent a place to live. Her father Mikhail Andreyevich searches the computer database for apartments that are temporarily vacant, and Masha uses a lock pick to open them and lives there until the owners arrive. Masha likes being a "migratory bird": life is full of exciting adventures.
