Early Taiwanese cinematographers - whose voices appear on the soundtrack - were at the cutting edge of Taiwanese art, culture and politics. They brought an innovative approach to shooting, totally alien to the Western practices. This is the first time some footage being released from the vaults of the Chinese Taipei Film Archive since their first screenings decades ago.
