The days merge into one another for a single gay man locked down in his Mumbai apartment, as the pandemic wears on. Some masons work on a scaffolding around the apartment. He contemplates the seemingly insurmountable space between himself and them and imagines freedom. All he can do is complete his chores one by one… until he comes to the last one. The title is a play of words on 'Un Chant d'Amour', a 1959 film by Jean Genet.
