Yumetaro (Umesawa Tomio) is a former police detective whose soft hearted nature cost him his job. He is now a taxi driver in training, thanks to a chance meeting with a veteran cabbie named Shinnosuke (Maekawa Kiyoshi) in Atami. One day, Yumetaro is shocked when he notices a scar on Shinnosuke's arm identical to the one that a junior detective colleague had inflicted on an indiscriminate killer who got away seven years earlier.
